Exterior Trim Refurbishment

The restoration and painting of a property’s exterior trim is what we do best. We enjoy it and take personal satisfaction out of processing tasks involved with preparation and finishing. We carry out extensive preparation to all surfaces that are to be painted to ensure an appropriate and sound surface for paint adhesion, giving a durable and long lasting finish.

All surfaces were first washed and treated for biological growth with a fungicidal/algae treatment as necessary before being sanded/keyed prior to the application of paints. Tikkurila’s Ultra Primer was used for all windows and soffit and fascia boards prior to x2 topcoats of Tikkurila Valtti Opaque; a premium paint system which will gives years of  long lasting protection. Wood rot was removed and repaired with a 2-part resin system by Repair Care following manufacturer’s guidelines or where no longer possible, replaced with new timber trimmed by us to best match.

The conservatory at the back of the house and the awnings were also given the Vitality touch following the same procedures mentioned above with different paint systems required: Sikkens Rubbol Primer and Sikkens Rubbol Plus on the conservatory (matching legacy systems in the past) and Caparol Haftprimer and Tikkurila Unica Alkyd Enamel on the metal awnings, giving the client a longer lasting and durable finish.
